2.4. There is no textbook but a Grain Grading Manual and equipment are provided. Copies
of ACT are available in Library of Plant Sciences and lecture notes and other
information will be distributed as appropriate.
A CONCEPT: The principal objective of the Grain Standards Act is to provide a system to describe the physical (some chemical as percent protein or water) characteristics of grain under the ACT, repeatable and understood at hundreds of locations in domestic and foreign commerce.
