Large coccoid with multiple plastids. Aggregates into masses. Many refractile bodies in cells, moving very rapidly making photographing difficult. Cell walls seem to thicken as the cell nears autosporulation. At sporulation, the thickened wall breaks in one place and the numerous autospores must exit the old wall. Numerous old thick mother cell walls seen. These old walls have a "hairy" surface, which could be bacteria. This isolate may be a eustig.
