Small, elongate coccoid, often bean-shaped. Chloroplast shape difficult to discern, filling one-half of the cell. No pyrenoid (?), but there usually is a lipid droplet (?). Autospores observed, two per sporangium. Young cells nearly spherical.  Choricystis sp.?
