old culture. spherical coccoid, 4-8 autospores.

Looks rather like Mychonastes/Pseudodictyosphaerium, but mother cell walls do not persist well at all. A few small groups have very fine connecting strands.

Additional pictures taken from younger culture.  Sometimes forms large groups.

These characters match the discription of Coenococcus apyrenoidosus, except that the cells are smaller in Mary 9/21 BT-15w.
