The purpose of assignment ten is to finalize formatting and organization of your drawings and specifications into the final construction document package. You should prepare a cover sheet, existing conditions/demolition plan, layout plan, grading plan, materials plan, planting plan, and utility plan. You must make certain that all of plans, section, and detail drawings from assignments 1-9 are corrected/revised and included. You will have only one drawing file labeled (your initials xxx-final package.dwg). All drawing information shall related to:
Cover Sheet should be layered as COVER SHEET with color-Black/White.
Existing Conditions/Demolition Plan should be layered as 2-0 DEMOLITION PLAN with color-Cyan.

Material Plan should be layered as 2.3 MATERIAL PLAN with color-Orange.
Planting Plan should be layered as 2.4 PLANTING PLAN with color-Green.
Utility Plan should be layered as 2.5 UTILITY PLAN with color -
NOTE: Each drawing sheet to support your plans, sections, and details should be prepared in a highly professional graphic format.

Description:

NDSU has requested that these plans and specifications fit into their office digital format which is indicated below. The layering system must match the system used on their previous projects throughout the community.  This means that the hard copy (prints/copies) will only be used during construction and the computer drawings will be used by this office after the completion of the project for all new construction decisions and site changes.

They have also requested drawings that will be easily read in the field by the contractors.  Many of their previous construction documents have confusing and very unclear - asking the contractor to jump from page to page in an unnecessary fashion.

Presentation:

Your final constructions documents must be prepared and formatted to provide for ease of construction.  Think about the clarity a good set of construction drawings and specifications can offer during the construction process.  Reduce confusion by always linking plans to details and sections through careful referencing.
As encouraged throughout the semester I request you prepare a professional oriented title area for your final assignment at either 18" x 24" (17" x 22") or 24" x 36" (22" x 34") output size for construction drawings and 8-1/2" x 11" for specifications.  Please remember that many students will be trying to complete their projects at this same time and the plotters will be busy.  I will not evaluation half scale drawing sheets.  A complete package will include the following drawing sheets:
Cover Sheet/Orientation
2.0 Existing Conditions/Demolition Plan – Include the limit of work
2.1 Layout Plan - Locate platform and paver areas including all designed site items - including kiosk/information area.
2.2 Grading Plan - Provides existing grades and new spot elevations for all of your construction.

2.4 Planting Plan – (Includes a raised planter and planting details.
