Sketch Assignment Three 

Assigned:  April 19th, 2001

Due: May 1st, 2001- before 12:30 Lecture

In the first and second sketching assignments you were asked to work with texture and color within your sketches.  

In the final (third) extra credit sketch assignment for ALA 172 you should continue to the use of texture and color while preparing self-portraits.  Be sure to focus on the use of color and texture in two self portraits. The third assignment is intended to refine the texture and color sketching begun within this class.  One self portrait should realistic image of you and the second portrait an abstraction of your facial features - the style option is open to you.   

ASSIGNMENT:  

Prepare one the two self-portrait sketches using texture only - like assignment one.  Then prepare a second self portrait sketch using texture with color added.  Please review sketch assignments one and two before you prepare these self portraits.  

Have some fun with these sketches.
