BIOGRAPHY

Kimble A. Bromley joined the North Dakota State University faculty in 1996. Previously, he taught at Kentucky Wesleyan College, Owensboro Community College, DePaul University, Prairie State College, and Southern Illinois University.

Bromley has served as a Visiting Artist throughout the upper midwest, in Ecuador and Mexico. Since 1989, he has painted abroad in Cuba, Jamaica, Ecuador, and Mexico.

His work has been supported by grants from NDSU, Kellogg, Teagle/Bell South, and Partners of the Americas. He is a member of the College Art Association, Center for Cuban Studies, Plains Art Museum, Fargo, ND, Chicago Art Institute and the National Guild of Hypnotists.

Bromley's work is exhibited by Yvonne Rapp Gallery, Louisville, Kentucky. He exhibits his work nationally and internationally . Highlights include, Casa De Las Americas in Cuba, The Edwardo Kingman Gallery in Quito, Ecuador, the Czechoslovakian Embassy in Mexico City, Mexico, the Navy Pier Show in Chicago, the Metropolitan Art Gallery in New York City plus numerous colleges and universities. Bromley visits college and university campus’ as featured guest artist as well.

Currently, the North Dakota Art Gallery Association is sponsoring a year long tour through North Dakota of his Cuba series and Badland series.
