GEOLOGY 304 TRIP SAFETY AND COURTESY
1. Respect all property and persons.
2. No form of harassment will be tolerated. Report any instance to the instructor immediately.
3. Take extra-special care along road cuts and along river banks.
4. Treat all gravel pit faces as unstable and liable to collapse. Stay away from the tops and bottoms of gravel pit faces.
5. Wear gloves and safety glasses when hammering on rocks. Rock and steel slivers can cause permanent injuries.
6. Be careful crossing roads. Look both ways and pay attention to traffic.
7. Be courteous to others in the campground. Keep the noise level down.
8. Be careful with fire at the camp site.
9. No alcohol or drugs
10. Avoid tracking mud into the vans. To save cleaning time, clean mud off boots outside on the road and not on the carpets. Periodically empty vans of trash.
11. Everybody to participate in camp and vehicle clean-up
