Department's Mission.

The Department of Visual Arts provides a comprehensive, rigorous, and innovative academic program consistent with the mission of NDSU. The department serves the pursuit of high-quality teaching, artistic performance, dedicated service, and professional and scholarly excellence through experiences of lasting value.

The Department of Visual Arts is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).

Throughout the year, the department sponsors a wide range of visual arts events including exhibitions, printmaking and ceramics sales, and the annual pumpkin carving event. All events are open to the public and free of charge. Visit the Fine Arts Calendar for complete details.
