James Rosenquist Artist Residency
at North Dakota State University

Artist Requirements

1. Artist will be asked to present a public lecture.

2. Artist will be asked to allow students and community visitors to watch and interact while working in the studio.

3. Artist must speak English fluently.

4. Artists may be asked to teach a one-credit hour seminar.

5. Artists must sign a residency agreement.

6. Artist in Residence is required to donate one piece of artwork completed during the residency to the James Rosenquist Artist Residency Collection.

Application Details

To apply for the James Rosenquist Artist Residency at NDSU, please send the following materials:

1. Resume, including education and exhibition record.

2. One page letter describing what you hope to achieve while in residence at NDSU.

3. Ten (ten) slides and corresponding numbered slide list. Slides must be of work completed within the past year, indicating top and number corresponding to slide list, no glass mounts. Slide list must include title, medium, date and corresponding number. CDs, video tapes or DVDs for new media artists will be accepted only for those whose work is time-based or kinetic and cannot be viewed well in a slide format.

4. Self-addressed stamped envelope for return of materials. Without a SASE, materials will not be returned.

5. Deadline: all materials must be received by June 1, 2007.
