NDSU Music to present
Zagreb Saxophone Quartet

The North Dakota State University Department of Music will present the Zagreb Saxophone Quartet of Croatia on Sunday, October 26 at 7:30 pm in Beckwith Recital Hall.

The Zagreb Saxophone Quartet continues to reach a growing number of concert goers, having played with critical acclaim to enthusiastic audiences throughout the world. Graduates of the Zagreb Academy of Music under the tutelage of Josip Nachta, the Quartet has been performing with its current members since 1989. In addition to their numerous concert appearances, they have also presented premier performances at the World Saxophone Congress in Montreal (2000), Minneapolis (2003), and Ljubljana (2006). They appear regularly with orchestras and bands, and their repertory includes works written originally for saxophone quartet, as well as transcriptions and arrangements of music from Purcell and Bach to Piazzola, Gershwin, and Glass.

The Zagreb Saxophone Quartet will also present a master class at 2:00 pm on October 26 in Beckwith Recital Hall. Both the master class and evening performance are free and open to the public.
