Academic Advising

Students should meet with an adviser each semester to plan their courses for the following semester and to ensure they are meeting program requirements. Students are fully responsible for their academic decisions including selecting courses, meeting prerequisites, and adhering to policies, procedures, and deadlines.

Freshman and sophomores should e-mail the undergraduate advisor to schedule an appointment.
Student athletes have designated advisers in each major and should contact them directly.
Juniors
and seniors are assigned to a faculty adviser and should contact them directly.

The name of your assigned advisor can be found in the Student Self-Service section of Campus Connection.

For More information: Consult The College of Business Guide to a Degree Handbook or The NDSU 2006-2008 Undergraduate Bulletin (External Page)

Advising Week: To schedule an appointment click the Advising Schedule link.

To estimate your current semester GPA, simply enter the anticipated letter grades and credit hours for each class and press the "Calculate" button. To find out how this semester's grades will affect your cumulative GPA simply enter your current cumulative GPA and total graded hours earned in the appropriate boxes and click the "Calculate" button at the bottom. The calculator will re-figure your cumulative GPA based upon your anticipated grades for this semester.

This calculator gives an approximate value as output (for example, it does not consider courses that have been retaken). To receive a value with more accuracy, students are encouraged to see their advisor.
