Electronics Design

Electronics design capability at CNSE involves both circuit board level and chip-level expertise. A full-time staff of research engineers and technicians develops hardware, software and firmware for specific applications. Industry standard tools are utilized for design projects including Mentor Graphics, Ansoft, Ansys and Solidworks to name a few. Commercial versions of the software tool licenses are maintained. 

Several laboratories are utilized for testing the electronic systems that are developed. An electronics test lab is equipped with the latest generation of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc. The RFID and Wireless Sensor Laboratory (RWSL) contains a three-meter anechoic chamber facility that is used for test and characterization of antennas. Numerous environmental test chambers are installed in the reliability laboratory to support design verification testing.
