Access

Before anyone can access a high performance computing system at CHPC, they must have an account for the system.
To apply for an account, click here.

Note: It takes two to three business days to process the application.

Once you have an account, use the ssh command to log in to the systems. The ssh command is located in /user/bin/.

For the 96-node distributed-memory cluster,
$>ssh username@cluster1.chpc.ndsu.nodak.edu

For the SGI Altix shared-memory server,
$>ssh username@server1.chpc.ndsu.nodak.edu
