Writing Disquisitions

Our CFW graduate consultants are available to assist students who are writing their theses and dissertations, but please note that we do NOT work as an editing service. Our philosophy is to help students become independent writers and editors of their own work. The best way to use our services is to contact us early in the process so that we can help with all stages of the writing process:

  • Brainstorming and developing ideas
  • Organizing and structuring ideas
  • Incorporating and citing sources
  • Identifying patterns of error

BEFORE YOU START – COMPLETE THE DISQUISITION WORKSHEET

Since the process of writing a disquisition is long and complex, we would like to create a plan of collaboration between you and our consultants before we start working with you. Please complete the Disquisition Worksheet (DOWNLOAD WORKSHEET) and return it with a 10-page sample of your writing (either disquisition or academic writing) to enrico.sassi@ndsu.edu. We will contact you after reviewing the worksheet and sample.
