The "Guide to a Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, and Management Information Systems" is a complement to the university's General Bulletin. It contains copies of the curriculum guide sheets for every major and minor offered in the College of Business. Use the handbook when you meet with your academic adviser, and to keep track of your progress in your chosen major.
A Catalog Year determines which "Guide to a Degree" a student should follow. A student's Catalog Year is typically determined by when the student declares his/her major.
Students complete the published degree requirements that are in effect during the year in which the major was declared.
Example 1: You declared your major in business administration in the Fall 2000 semester. You would complete the degree requirements in the 2000-2002 General Bulletin, and therefore your catalog year is 2000-2002.
Example 2: You entered the University in the Fall 1998 Semester as an engineering major, then you switch your major to accounting in the Fall 2000 Semester. You would complete the degree requirements in the 2000-2002 General Bulletin, and therefore your catalog year is 2000-2002.
For questions regarding the catalog year, students may contact the Office of Student Academic Affairs in Ceres Hall 110, the COB Student Service Center in Putnam Hall 102, or their academic adviser.
