Welcome to the North Dakota State University
Center for Advanced Technology Transfer and Traineeships

Mission
The mission of the CATTT is to:

(1) facilitate co-funded advanced technology traineeships linking
companies with students, faculty, and staff.

(2) educate trainees in technology transfer.

Vision

The CATTT at North Dakota State University offers technology-based industry traineeships in post-secondary education through partnerships and linkages with regional industries and companies. In its Bridges to Advanced Technology Based Careers (BATBaC) program, launched in October 2000, undergraduate and graduate students receive training at partnering companies, which co-fund the student training projects. The BATBaC program has been deactivated until more funding is received.

Technology Transfer Graduate Traineeships (TTGT): Technology Transfer Graduate Traineeships are awarded to graduate students who are doing technology-based research on-campus. Trainees take CATTT technology transfer short courses, establish linkages with one or more industries or companies that have an interest in their thesis research, and conduct follow-on technology transfer training activities.
