Preparing for the Interview
- Research the company mission,
history and current goals prior to the interview.
- Identify your route to the
interview ahead of time and arrive approximately 5-10
minutes prior to the interview.
- Anticipate possible questions
by making a list of skills that are important in your
industry; then make a separate list of your skills.
Look for the overlap between these two lists and use
examples that will illustrate your competencies.
- When preparing for a behavioral-based
interview, it is important to identify actual situations
where you effectively responded to the circumstances
described.
- Practice
responding to sample questions with a friend or relative.
