First Impression?

Accounting - White suit is a little unprofessional - sort of Colonel Sanders.

Ag Business - Good.

Ag Lending - Very preppy. Darker suit colors make a better impression in the Midwest.

Ag Processing - I see fashion and class.

Education / K-12 - Wrong state.

Engineering - Civil/Construction - Way too flashy.

Engineering - Construction - Looks professional. Maybe just a little too much with the all white suit.

Engineering - Manufacturing - All white is somewhat unprofessional for a first interview. Also all 3 buttons are buttoned which is a no-no.

Engineering - Manufacturing - Needs a new designer! Stick with the classics.

Financial - Too trendy.

Healthcare - Neat, professional, likes non-traditional style.

Health Insurance - Nice suit.

Hospitality - This person looks organized and pays attention to details. The person will find creative ways to get things accomplished.

Information Technology - This is a great suit, but the white is a little overpowering.

Marketing - Hey-Ya! Love it. Fresh, funky, risk taker within reason. Love the blue tie.

Medical Device / Biotechnology - Classy, sharp, professional.

Retail Merchandising - A fun outfit but the shirt doesn't really match the suit. The pants are too long.

Appropriate to wear to an Interview?

Ag Business - Good.

Education / K-12 - No - this is an advertising outfit not an education-related look.

Engineering - Civil/Construction - Appropriate maybe----but it may very well negatively influence the recruiter. I'd recommend against it.

Financial - Maybe.

Healthcare - Yes. Should know the company style before interviewing in a suit this light in color.

Hospitality - This attire would be appropriate for positions in sales/marketing and guest service management. The attire might also be acceptable for fun-atmosphere destination restaurants and hotel management positions.

Information Technology - This would be OK to wear to an interview, but I believe there are many other better choices.

Marketing - For my industry, no doubt. He shows his creativity through the color choices and the freshness of his look. Yes yes yes! I would choose dark brown shoes instead of black -- I am picky that way.

Medical Device / Biotechnology - Acceptable for an interview, more neutral colors would be preferred clothing.

Retail Merchandising - I don't think this is appropriate for an interview. It is too light. It might be OK for some types of jobs and for a summer interview but it just doesn't work for a professional situation.

Accounting, Ag Lending, Engineering - Manufacturing, Engineering - Manufacturing - No.

Ag Processing, Engineering - Construction, Health Insurance - Yes

Appropriate to wear to a Career Fair?

Ag Business - Yes, sharp. My industry tends to be more conservative. But this is trendy and fine.

Ag Lending - Okay. Much better than jeans.

Education / K-12 - To a colleague's wedding this would work.

Engineering - Civil/Construction - Maybe---but I'd strongly suggest to "tone it down."

Financial - Probably.

Hospitality - Only for events where it is time to stand out and be recognized.

Information Technology - This would be OK to wear to a career fair, but I believe there are many other better choices.

Marketing - I dig it.

Medical Device / Biotechnology - Acceptable for a career event, more neutral colors would be preferred clothing.

Retail Merchandising - Maybe if the shirt and tie coordinated more with the suit and if the pants were shorter, I would like it better.

Accounting, Engineering - Manufacturing, Engineering - Manufacturing - No.

Ag Processing, Engineering - Construction, Healthcare, Health Insurance - Yes.
