First Impression?

Accounting - Trying to be professional but doesn't match.

Ag Business - Good. Professional.

Ag Lending - Looks nice. More of a preppy look. Question the white slacks.

Ag Processing - Professional and career-minded.

Education / K-12 - Very sharp - very summer (this is shown by the pants). The person is choosing to be 'hip'.

Engineering - Civil/Construction - It is formal enough---but definitely not conservative. In our industry (engineering) some recruiters might feel that the individual is too flamboyant. Some might like it. If you wear this type of attire, you run the risk of being screened out by someone solely because of dress. Why risk it?

Engineering - Construction - Looks professional.

Engineering - Manufacturing - Looks flashy for an engineering job. If the student were interviewing for a job at a casino he would fit in just fine!

Engineering - Manufacturing - Mismatched, does not fit.

Financial - Hip.

Healthcare - Cares about the first impression others have about him.

Health Insurance - Nice suit, professional.

Hospitality - This person is willing to try to succeed but may not meet expectations all the time.

Information Technology - This is a professional look. It may look more well put together without the black suit jacket or instead add black pants verses white. The black and white pieces do not flow well together and therefore give the look a less professional appearance.

Marketing - He's color blind.

Medical Device / Biotechnology - Bold.

Retail Merchandising - A sharp outfit that fits him well, but lots of contrast with the white tie and white pants.

Appropriate to wear to an interview?

Ag Lending - Okay.

Ag Processing - Yes, job appropriate.

Education / K-12 - This would work well in the summer, as we understand that they may go from there to the next activity. It does have more of a "wedding feel."

Engineering - Civil/Construction - Yes---but some recruiters might decide you are too flashy.

Engineering - Manufacturing - NO - not with white pants, but would be acceptable with black pants.

Healthcare - Yes, if a traditional "high end" business...may want a suit instead of light pants.

Hospitality - This attire is appropriate for a first-level supervisory position or destination-resort area position.

Information Technology - This would be OK to wear to an interview, but I believe there are many other better choices.

Marketing - Individually, each piece is a fine choice. Dark jacket is tailored and the right length. The light tie matches well with the blue shirt. The sand colored pants throws it all kiddywhumpus. The pants could be a much darker khaki and work, but this way, most people would think he made a mistake.

Medical Device / Biotechnology - Could wear this to an interview, however is very bold and does not fit in with typical conservative dress we would expect. Move the pant and tie to something more neutral.

Retail Merchandising - I think he would need to change to matching dark pants and a different color tie to be appropriate for an interview.

Accounting, Engineering - Manufacturing, Financial - No.

Ag Business, Engineering - Construction, Health Insurance - Yes.

Appropriate to wear to a Career Fair?

Education / K-12 - Depending on the event this could be great. If children are around the pants are far too light and will be a problem.

Engineering - Civil/Construction - Yes. It might be the perfect attire if you are looking for a "marketing" position.

Engineering - Manufacturing - If he lost the coat.

Hospitality - Definitely for a business-casual event.

Information Technology - This would be OK to wear to a career fair, but I believe there are many other better choices.

Marketing - With different pants, yes. As is, he would capture attention, but for the wrong reason.

Medical Device / Biotechnology - Could wear this to a career event, however, it is very bold and does not fit in with typical conservative dress we would expect.

Retail Merchandising - I think dark pants would be more appropriate.

Accounting, Engineering - Manufacturing - No.

Ag Business , Ag Lending, Ag Processing, Engineering - Construction , Financial, Healthcare, Health Insurance - Yes.
