Appropriate to wear to an Interview?

Education / K-12 - Yes, it speaks to being ready and yet not fully serious as a suit portrays.

Engineering - Civil/Construction - Yes, but a coat would add one more level of professionalism.

Engineering - Manufacturing - Yes, absolutely. A jacket would be nice to see though.

Healthcare - Yes. If a professional job...add a jacket.

Hospitality - Yes, this is appropriate for a first level supervisory or economy hotel position.

Information Technology - Yes. The outfit would look even more professional and appropriate for an interview if you added a suit jacket.

Marketing - The cargo pants may be too casual, depending on the industry. I would welcome a little touch of differentiation to break him out of the crowd.

Medical Device / Biotechnology - This is appropriate to wear to an interview. To make a better impression add a sports jacket.

Retail Merchandising - It might be appropriate for some types of interviews such as teaching. It also might be OK for an interview in the summer when it is warm -- employers may not expect a jacket on a warm day. The colors are nice and the tie is a good style, tied appropriately.

Retail Merchandising - Yes, I think it would be.
