What is your First Impression?
- Casual, maybe looking for an internship but probably not taking it seriously, at least for an engineering position
- Good first impression - clean, well-fitted, comfortable
- Well put together, nice colors
- Great smile! Looking for a job is fun! This would be an appropriate outfit for attending an information session or dinner out with a company
- Seems well-dressed for everyday wear
- It's a good looking outfit but not suitable for an interview; It's good for social networking or casual Fridays
- Casual, borderline everyday
- Appropriate (depending on the position interviewing for); The outfit looks professional, well put-together & thought out
- Business casual - caution the potential for cotton pants to get wrinkled
- Laid back/ business casual
Is this appropriate for a Career Fair?
- Fine choice; It is casual enough to be comfortable to wear and seems perfectly appropriate for a student on his way to becoming a professional
- Would be appropriate
- Acceptable for a career fair, but not someone I would remember as having made an effort to look nice
- Should add a tie if going to attend a career fair
- Great
- Appropriate (depending on the position interviewing for); The outfit looks professional, well put-together & thought out
- Perfect for a career fair - comfortable enough to still go to class in
- Yes for an internship candidate
- A tie or a jacket would help a lot in looking more professional and prepared
Is this appropriate for an Interview?
- Unacceptable for an interview; I assume he's not serious about the opportunity and has somewhere else to be
- Probably too casual for an interview - but great for casual Friday and, in most offices, any other normal work day and most routine client meetings
- Would be appropriate for our company
- Too casual for an interview; Should wear coat and tie unless otherwise instructed
- Should be wearing a suit to a professional level interview
- Need to have a tie and not let the white shirt show
- Depending on the position, this outfit would be acceptable; If you were interviewing for a more formal or executive role, a suit may be desired
- This would be fine for an interview with our company but I explain in the invite to interview that we don't expect a suit and tie; I might be surprised if I didn't define that and they showed up this way
- A tie and jacket would be helpful
- Need at least a tie, and adding a jacket would be very helpful in looking professional
