Welcome to the ASEE North Midwest section web site. We recently had our Annual Section Meeting in Duluth, Minnesota. Sincere thanks to all of you who participated in making this event so successful. Special thanks to Mike Rother from the host institution, University of Minnesota Duluth for organizing this year’s meeting. For those of you that missed the meeting, I encourage you to browse the proceedings to explore the ideas and wisdom that was shared during the sessions that covered a wide range of topics. I would also encourage you to consider attending two exciting conferences over the next year. The 2012 ASEE Annual conference will be held in San Antonio, TX (June 10-13). Also, coming up in October 4-5, 2012 will be the North Midwest Section Meeting in St. Cloud, MN. Your unique contributions can help us all enhance our abilities as engineering educators. Please note the Call for Papers requesting abstract submissions for the meeting - Due April 16, 2012. Additionally, I encourage you to get more involved in the section activities by nominating your colleagues for the Outstanding Educator Awards (Due March 16, 2012) and volunteering your time as a section leader. Our continued success depends on people like you who understand the value of personal and professional growth through service. Your efforts will be greatly appreciated.
