You, and/or your designated beneficiaries, can receive a well-managed income for life
(or a term of years) from the Foundation's

You can receive an immediate federal income tax deduction under most of the gift plans. With a gift of appreciated property, you may avoid the 20 percent to 28 percent capital gains tax. You also may realize significant estate tax savings.

Receive expert investment management at no cost to you

NDSU Development Foundation will invest and administer your fund at no cost to you. NDSU Development Foundation currently manages more than $34 million in trust and endowment assets.

Transfer wealth to your heirs with significant tax savings

The charitable lead trust allows you to make a future transfer of assets to your heirs at a substantially reduced gift and estate tax cost, while continuing to support NDSU during your lifetime.

Achieve cost effective management of your family's philanthropy

The NDSU Donor Advised Fund is a new program designed to benefit NDSU's most generous alumni and friends. NDSU Development Foundation can receive, invest, and manage gifts to multiple charities on you and your family's behalf.
