Knowing student travel tips will let you see
the sun set over Bergen, Norway-- and you'll still have money
to see the fjords. |

Being
a student often means great discounts on travel. That's
another reason why your college years are a great time
to go abroad!
Besides more affordable prices, student tickets usually
have more flexibility on travel dates, allow you to book
your return tickets the months or year in advance that you
need to, and are inexpensive to change if you decide to
stay a little longer or head home a little early . Other
tickets may seem like they offer a great price, but if
they are full of restrictions and cost a lot to change. Beware of tickets loaded with restrictions!
A
local travel agent can also help you with your arrangements.
Be aware that most travel agents now charge you a fee
of
$25-50 in addition to your ticket price.
The internet is another place to find great travel deals.
If you are in doubt about a particular travel company
or service, you can consult with the Office of International
Programs. Although we don't know about everything all travel information out
there, we do have a good network of reliable programs
and websites that we trust.
