Study abroad in Australia

Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga

The Charles Sturt University campus of Wagga Wagga provides students with an excellent education in modern facilities while maintaining small class sizes. NDSU students studying abroad at CSU can earn credits toward their major by taking classes with Australian and other international students. Although the university specializes in agricultural studies, it also offers a wide variety of majors and classes and is home to a world-class equine center

More information:

Students from the U.S. will notice a difference between American English and Australian English with new slang, words or phrases with different meanings and an accent unique to that part of the world. Although English is the official and primary language of Australia, there are more than 200 native aboriginal languages used throughout Australia today.

The unusual name, Wagga Wagga, comes from the aboriginal meaning the place of “many crows.” With more then 57,000 people, the city has facilities to suit many lifestyles. Learn more about Wagga Wagga .

Australia is a popular destination for NDSU students and has a generally mild climate year round. The vast majority of the population lives on the coast despite the continent’s large size. Click here to read more about Australian culture.
