Who are peer mentors?  They are students who have previously participated in a study abroad program and who want to take their experience and enthusiasm to the next level.  This is an opportunity to share your excitement about your own study abroad experience with other students to get them interested in going abroad. Also, if you are interested in the career of international education, becoming a peer mentor is a great way to gain experience in the field.

In what ways can I help students who want to find out more about studying abroad?

• Lead Study Abroad 101 information sessions

• Staff information tables in the Memorial Union

• Help with classroom visits

• Talk to students at their pre-departure orientations

• Brochure or poster design

• Study Abroad Fair (late March of each year)

• Resource Room upkeep

• Newsletter contributions and production
